The Plash Inn Goes Up For Sale To A Community in Carmarthenshire
An interesting offer from a customer: A local pub, The Plash Inn based in Llanfallteg, Carmarthenshire is going up for sale and the local community of Llanfallteg in Carmarthenshire has been asked to express interest in buying the local pub and running it as a Community Pub in Carmarthenshire. You can read an official statement from The Plash Inn below.
A public meeting is being held at the Millennium Hall, Llanfallteg, SA34 0UN on Friday 8th April 7pm 2016 - Anyone interested in getting involved and exploring the idea of a Community Pub, through investment, volunteering etc is encouraged to attend.
As some of you may be aware we have arrived at the difficult position of needing to sell the Plash because of increasingly difficult personal circumstances and demands on our time. This is not a situation we ever wanted to occur, but it has and we do not wish to see the standards at the Plash diminish, worse still close or be turned into a domestic property. We have tried to find alternative ways of making it work but are only faced with potentially crippling staffing costs that the business could not sustain and remain viable.
We would like to offer the Community the opportunity to take over the business before we offer it up for sale on the open market and would like to assist as much as possible for this to be the successful option. As such, we shall be holding a Public Meeting in Llanfallteg Millennium Hall on Friday 8th of April at 7pm to gauge Public feeling and to decide on a way forward which includes options such as crowdfunding, equity shareholders and community shares. If you cannot attend, but would like to be involved and kept updated, please could you register your interest by visiting & liking the Plash Inn Facebook page.
It is with a heavy heart that we feel the need to leave the Plash, but we have no option. Ioan is becoming more demanding of our time, more challenging and our health is beginning to suffer. We do not know how his needs will change in the future and want to safeguard, as much as possible, the existence of the Plash as the important part of the community it has been for so long.
Thank you for your support & understanding. I hope we are doing the right thing. If you have any questions regarding this please do not hesitate to contact us or pop in the pub for a chat.

Some Changes To How I Work For You
I have been making some changes recently in-line with my business development plan for this year. The changes are geared towards offering better quality of service to all my customers as well as optimising the efficiency of how I do work to allow future growth and expansion.
Anyway, long story short I have updated my terms of business which can be found here. Most notable changes are conditions surrounding minimum hourly rates, priority work requests and weekend work requests.
I'd like to also mention project scheduling has been revised to speed up project delivery. If you'd like to know how this or any other changes might effect you please contact me with any questions.

Mobile Internet Usage hits 25%
Internet usage on mobile devices hits 25% of all Internet usage after a study by KPCD. The study found the amount of browsing we do on mobile devices such as tablets, iphones, smart phones etc hit an all time high and shows little sign of slowing down. See the report here.
What this means is a number of things, however one of the most obvious concerns for small businesses is if their website is mobile device responsive or not? If your not sure or want help with modernising your website, just ask me; Jamie is my website responsive? (click to email me) or send me a message online.
It's All Change This April
April 6th see's an array of changes here at Jamie King Media. Frequent visitors will notice a change of website, boasting it's HTML5 platform and mobile device responsive features. Long over due, it was planned to launch over Christmas week but customer demands came first... & now it's April!
I have also implemented some new pricing policies and maintained the much welcomed invoice payment schemes I experimented with over the last two months. While on the subject of formalities I'll just remind you I updated my terms of business back in January, so you may like to read them if your interested.
