Rugby World Cup UK - A Rugby Blog

Hi there! This website is a rugby enthusiasts personal blog, mainly about rugby union across the world and the high profile rugby union events like the Rugby World Cup, Six Nations, British and Irish Lions Tours and The Rugby Championship. It is intended to be a bit-of-fun, free expression and shouldn't be taken too seriously. All and any opinions are my own and don't represent third parties or third party organisations.

With that dull and boring statement out of the way, I am a great fan of Rugby Union and wanted to create my own portal of rugby information for others to enjoy. I am based in the UK and a website designer by trade.

The idea started back in 2011, when New Zealand hosted the Rugby World Cup. Due to the time differences between the UK and New Zeland I found myself googling what time kick off was and what the UK conversion of that time was. Eventually I created my own poster with UK kick off times on, instead of the New Zealand times. I then took the idea a bit further and converted times for other countries like France, Italy, USA, South Africa etc. I put the posters on the web for people to download, just in-case someone might find it useful. To my surprise the posters were downloaded thousands of times right across the world during the 2011 tournament. Come 2015 I repeated the process in web page format and provided kick off times for many countries participating in the RWC. Again I received large numbers of visitors, with some few hundred browsing my website in the hour before the start of the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

I hope to build this rugby blog to become a useful portal of information when the major rugby union events arise, so I hope you enjoy it.
